Welcome to the Athey Creek Christian Fellowship Building Blog!

Well, after more than ten years of loading and unloading trailers full of stages, sound equipment, diaper changing pads and toys for the kiddos, our days as a port-o-church are numbered!! The Lord has blessed us with the opportunity to build our own church building.

Now many of you might say, “I had no idea ACCF was even in the process of building!” That’s great! Our heart's desire is that one day you will show up to church and hear that next Sunday we will be meeting in the new church building.

So, why don’t we talk about the building project more? Well, it’s because we have been called to keep Jesus Christ as the focal point of everything we do, rather than the building project!

We hope you enjoy your time visiting the ACCF Building Blog and may the Lord bless you greatly!

ACCF Church Renderings

Hey Everyone!!

We thought you would like to see a few renderings of the new church building.

In this first rendering you can see what the church building will look like from the east entrance at the end of Phase 1. At this point, the second & third floors will be completed and we will be meeting in the temporary sanctuary.

In these last two renderings you can see what the church will look like upon completion of the final phase.

This view is from the east entrance showing the permanent sanctuary that will be added to the building in Phase 2.

Finally, this view is from the west entrance to the building. In the foreground, you can see the new building that will eventually replace the Shed.

Stay tuned for more fun facts and information.

God Bless!!

September 5th Update - DIRT

Hey everyone! Here's the newest batch of pictures from the building site. Sorry that there haven't been that many updates thus far, but we figured that there are only so many pictures of dirt that people can handle. I'm trying out a new format this time, you should be able to click on the smaller pictures and see the bigger version if you wish to do so. Hopefully it works out ok.

In the next update we hope to show you some blueprints of the new buildings, as well as renderings of what the new building should look like...which is a whole lot better than piles of dirt!

This is a view of one of the retaining ponds on the east side of the property. These ponds are in place to counteract the flow of water coming off the parking lots.

Because our parking lots are on a hillside, we are creating a four-tiered parking lot.

This is another view of one of the retaining ponds being installed on the east side of the property.

The construction team on the property has been making an effort to work between bouts of rain as the all-dirt property can turn to mud at a moment's notice.

This is the new church office. Right now it's rather difficult to proceed with office work and print off fliers without getting mud all over them, but we hope that will change once there's an actual infrastructure in place.

This is a view of the pad where the phase 2 sanctuary will be built (more on this in a later update).

This marker denotes the original grade of the dirt and shows how much dirt we had to cut away in this area.

Coffman Incorporated moved in all their equipment and dug right in, and so far the excavation part is way ahead of schedule.

This is another example of original grade of the dirt and shows how much work has been done in this area already.

At one point the property contained five scrapers, four track-hoes, and three large Cats all working at once.

Earth movers arrive on site.

Groundbreaking on July 13th, 2007.

A nice view from the Southwest corner of the property.
